Just across the road from the cottage, a great place to have cooked English breakfast on
the decking overlooking the beach. Fresh ingredients and plenty of home-made cooking on
the lunch menu. Sometimes opens for evening meals if there is demand.

The cafe in Fort Victoria does snacks, cakes and lots of ice cream. Also opens for
evening meals in peak season.

The Waterfront

Not really that close, but the Waterfront at Totland is the end point of a great 45-minute
walk along the coastal path from the cottage, and a perfect spot to watch the setting sun.
Yarmouth

The restaurant upstairs specialises in local seafood, the crab and lobster are delivered
fresh from the family's fishing boat. Dining at Salty's is always an experience.
Downstairs the bar is very popular with visiting yacht crew. The bar is always packed on a
Saturday night during the summer, when there is live entertainment.

On The Rocks

A great stone grill restaurant in the centre of Yarmouth, where you cook the food yourself
at the table on volcanic rocks. A lot of the meats and fish on the menu are sourced
locally.
Freshwater
The Red Lion

Very good dining pub in a very picturesque setting at the end of a lovely hour-long walk
up the River Yar. The Red Lion was voted Dining Pub of the year by the Good Food Guide,
and is the only pub on the Island to be featured in the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide.
Children have to be 10 or over.

Not the prettiest place, either inside or out, but the food is excellent. Does take-away.
